This site offers forest managers helpful information on climate change adaptation. There are news bulletins and information in three major sections:

  • Forest policy and guidance elements that form part of the BC forest management framework
  • Tools designed for immediate use by forest managers in adapting to climate change, such as Stand Establishment Decision Aids (SEDAs) and forest health change detection risk (hazard/severity) maps
  • Information on climate adaptation in forest management. Included, for example, is the Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment for BC, which is an overview of climate change impacts to water, soil, wildlife and forested ecosystems in BC.

About ReTooling for Climate Change

The ReTooling for Climate Change website is a project of the Fraser Basin Council to support local governments and First Nations in BC in preparing for climate change adaptation. The site is funded through the BC Regional Adaptation Collaborative (BC RAC), a partnership program of the Fraser Basin Council and the BC Ministry of Environment – Climate Action Secretariat, with funding from Natural Resources Canada and other in-kind contributions.
