Fraser Basin Council

Collaborative for Advanced Landscape Planning (CALP), UBC

CALP has created training modules that allow users to develop their own local scenarios, identify relevant spatial data, assess visualization needs and determine visualization media and production methods for local implementation. These incorporate Delta RAC, and other CALP visualization materials.

There are three training modules:

  • Training Module 1 Spatial & Local Scenario Building helps users to develop local scenarios to take climate change into account in community planning
  • Training Module 2 Data Integration helps users to identify, access and develop data, including spatial data, for the purposes of scenario building and visualization, and to integrate these into a local climate change planning process
  • Training Module 3 Visualization Design & Production helps users to assess their visualization needs and determine the appropriate visualization media and production methods for local implementation.

About ReTooling for Climate Change

The ReTooling for Climate Change website is a project of the Fraser Basin Council to support local governments and First Nations in BC in preparing for climate change adaptation. The site is funded through the BC Regional Adaptation Collaborative (BC RAC), a partnership program of the Fraser Basin Council and the BC Ministry of Environment – Climate Action Secretariat, with funding from Natural Resources Canada and other in-kind contributions.
