Fraser Basin Council

Province of British Columbia

British Columbia is committed to addressing the climate crisis. The Provincial Government’s responsibility to current and future generations as natural resource stewards requires coordinated, province-wide action on climate change adaptation, including the integration of Indigenous Traditional Ecological Knowledge. This website provides natural resource managers with policy resources, knowledge resources, and tools to integrate climate change adaptation into decision-making. The featured resource are Regional Extension Notes, which include climate change projections, probable impacts of climate change to ecosystems, and adaptation strategies for natural resource management for seven regions throughout British Columbia.

About ReTooling for Climate Change

The ReTooling for Climate Change website is a project of the Fraser Basin Council to support local governments and First Nations in BC in preparing for climate change adaptation. The site is funded through the BC Regional Adaptation Collaborative (BC RAC), a partnership program of the Fraser Basin Council and the BC Ministry of Environment – Climate Action Secretariat, with funding from Natural Resources Canada and other in-kind contributions.
